Thomas Kane has practiced law in the Central Florida area for over 30 years. During that time he has achieved much success as a trial lawyer, a sought after speaker at state-wide conferences on a variety of topics relating to the specialized field of Personal Injury Law, and has been recognized as one of the top ten most successful Appellate Mediators in the Fifth District Court of Appeals.

Mr. Kane was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, and grew up in South Plainfield, New Jersey. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey in 1972, and then attended The University of Miami School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctorate degree in 1975. Mr. Kane began his trial career even before he left law school. He prosecuted criminal cases as an intern in the Dade County State Attorney's office.

Mr. Kane is a member of the Florida and Orange County Bar Associations and is admitted to practice in all courts in the State of Florida as well as the United States District Court for the Middle District, and the United States Court of Appeal, Eleventh Circuit. In addition, he has been a member of the American Bar Association, The Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Phi Delta Phi, The Florida Association of Trial Lawyers, The Defense Research Institute, and has held the Master level in the Vassar B. Carlton American Inns of Court.

In 1982, the Florida Bar established a program that would allow its members to apply to become Board Certified in a specialty. Board Certification is the highest level of recognition by The Florida Bar of the competency and experience of attorneys in the areas of law approved for certification by the Supreme Court of Florida. According to Florida Bar President, Franciso R. Angones, "Board certification is a valuable credential that is becoming a significant trend in the legal profession. Specialization recognizes lawyers' expertise and professionalism, and is a natural progression for lawyers who can demonstrate high skill levels in particular areas of law." Thomas Kane has been a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer since first successfully completing the application and examination process in 1984.

Mr. Kane also has been awarded the highest possible Matindale-Hubbell rating of AV®. According to Mardindale-Hubbell, an AV® Peer Review Rating "is a significant accomplishment - a testament to the fact that a lawyer's peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence. A lawyer must be admitted to the bar for 10 years or more to receive an AV rating."

Mr. Kane has been married to his wife, Eileen, for 32 years. They are both active in their church and in community activities. They are proud of their two children, and Tom feels privileged to be able to practice law with his daughter, Meghan.
